Temporomandibular joint disorder

Temporomandibular joint disorder

All our talking, eating, and facial expressions involve a single joint in our face: the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). When TMJ issues arise, they disrupt regular facial movements and can even hinder a person's ability to speak.

What can lead to temporomandibular joint issues?

TMJ problems are frequently linked to psychological and social factors, bite alignment issues, excessive chewing, joint strain, and jaw anatomy. The highest occurrence and medical visits for this condition are often noticed between ages 20 and 30.

How can you prevent and manage TMJ?

  • Medication

  • Physiotherapy

  • Low-level laser therapy using Alpha-BB

"Alpha-BB is a device for home therapy. It offers improved anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects, stimulates cell regeneration, and improves knee joint function."

What is Alpha-BB and what issues can it assist with?

Alpha-BB works deeply within cells to ease pain, decrease inflammation, speed up tissue repair and cell growth, enhance blood vessel activity, and reduce fibrous tissue.

Treatment instructions:

Place the device near the jaw joint by the ear for 8 minutes.

After this, extend the treatment for an extra 8 minutes across the width of the jaw, with the mouth slightly open to help open the joint and enhance the beam's effectiveness.

We recommend treating twice daily for about 30 minutes each session. One treatment cycle lasts for 5 days, with a 2-day gap between cycles. We suggest completing 2 treatment cycles.

Once the beneficial effects appear, continued maintenance treatment is recommended.
